About the Practice
|
Nettleham Road Physiotherapy Practice is situated in the city of Lincoln, close to Lincoln Cathedral and the Bailgate. It can be approached from the north of Lincoln via the A46 taking the signs for the cathedral quarter of the city. Coming from the south via Canwick village and the B1188 entering the contraflow system leading to Broadgate and Lindum Hill or via the A15 and Bracebridge Heath and following signs to the cathedral quarter.
The practice does not have allocated parking but it is possible to park opposite in the road and further along Nettleham Road. Patients with disabled parking permits can park directly in front of the practice.
The practice building was at one time the cathedral choristers school room and has recently been fully adapted into a physiotherapy clinic with two fully equipped, spacious treatment rooms.
There is a comfortable, pleasantly appointed waiting area with the usual toilet facilities designed to accommodate wheelchair users.

Appointments
|
At the first appointment there will always be a comprehensive and thorough examination and assessment of the problem to identify what is causing your symptoms and/or pain. Physiotherapy examination, assessment and treatment will mean that you will have to be touched by the therapist. So that you feel comfortable and reassured the physiotherapist will explain any assessment procedure to you at the time and you do have the right to decline any aspect of the assessment or treatment session if you so wish.
You may feel that you would like to be accompanied by a friend or have someone with you whilst being assessed or receiving physiotherapy .
Following the assessment and examination there will be an explanation of what the problem is, how it is caused and how physiotherapy may help you. The treatment options available will be discussed and agreed between you and your physiotherapist.
Treatment sessions and reviews are then organised to mutually suit you both. The frequency of appointments will very much depend on the identified problems and you will be advised at the time of your assessment.
